Product information "climbing guidebook PORTUGAL Rock climbs on the western tip of Europe"

The history of climbing in Portugal begins in the late 1950s, but for a long time, despite the handsome number of routes, the country was not known as a climbing destination - only the (lucky) locals and a few visitors from home or abroad knew about the potential here. However, the routes were and are by no means of inferior quality to those in neighboring Spain or other European climbing areas, for example. On the contrary, given the quiet and beautiful location of the spots and the varied rock faces, little Portugal even proves to be a true climbing pearl. So there are enough arguments for a climbing trip to Portugal, be it for a short visit, a longer stay or a climbing trip through the whole country

The 14 main areas described in the book are as follows: Meadinha, Santo Tirso, Serra de Passos, Serra da Estrela, Penha Garcia, Serra do Sico, Reguengo do Fetal, Cabo Carvoeiro, Montejunto, Sintra, Arrabida, Escusa, Rocha da Pena, and Sagres.

Thousands of routes and boulder problems are described in this guidebook. All the routes are shown on colour topos, and all the bouldering problems are shown on boulder maps. At the start of each crag there is a description of the style and character of the climbing to be found, approach map, access information, and QR codes for the parking areas.
