Climbing in the Cordillera Cantábrica
Another climbing guide for a particularly attractive region of Spain. After the first edition sold out within a short time, here comes a completely revised second edition packed with even more rocks and routes through the regions of Asturias, Cantabria and Leon in the northwest of Spain. There are countless climbing routes to be found in areas that have not been so well known until now. A total of 53 areas with 239 sectors and 3410 routes. The areas included are: Coalla, Prianes, Manzaneda, Frechura, Otura, El Laboratorio, Riospaso, Villanueva, La Senda, Penas Juntas, Santa Maria, Teverga, Tameza, Marabio, Villa de Sub, Quiros, El Condado, Rioseco, Cueva Deboyu, Pelugano, Cuevas, La Forcada, Sames, Carbes, Amieva, Següenco, Cuevas del Mar, Caldueno, Cabeza Alta, Berodia, Cerro Corona, Poo de Cabrales, Las Cabadas, Rumenes, Infierno, Urdon, El Salmon, Cueva de Ribero, Sector Clonico, Cueva del Corazon, Placas de Esquilleu, Puente de Lebena, Redipollos, Valdehuesa, Fuentes de Penacorada, Aviados, Cerulleda, Valverdin-Pedrosa, Hoces Free, Piedrasecha, Vega de Gordon, Villanueva de la Tercia and Rabanal de Luna.
In addition to the climbing areas mentioned, the guide provides a good overview of the best bouldering spots in Asturias (+ links to downloads for topos for some of the best spots). For the first time, QR codes also appear in a topos. These lead to videos of various routes and bouldering problems in the individual regions and are intended to further stimulate the anticipation of the days on the rock ...
The climbing guide is modern in layout and programme management. Everything is dealt with in two languages and is always clear and comprehensive. The very best colour photographs are just as much a part of it as colourful grip markers. Good maps, self-explanatory pictograms, etc.
