Climbing from Marseille to La Ciotat
This climbing guide (selection guide) describes the areas along the coastal strip between Marseille and La Ciotat. Climbing there is an ultimate pleasure, because you rock in the immediate vicinity of the sea. Swimming is guaranteed. Legendary bays like En Vau await with ingenious limestone walls and turquoise waters at the same time. The 2013 edition of the guide is thankfully also available in English. The book is of handy format and brings on 288 pages information on about 1100 routes. Of these, 418 multi-pitch and 15 cross-pitch. 70 watercolors and 200 photos clarify the topos and approaches. Wonderful aerial photos of the individual areas show the location of the respective sectors and thus allow a faster locating. A distinctly good guide to a gorgeous climbing area.
